TTPM Holiday Showcase: Bandai on Zak Storm, Mech-X4 & Power Rangers

Taking 2 minutes to shift gears from New York Comic Con to the TTPM Holiday Showcase, where many a reveal hit the show floor, much to my surprise! We weren't allowed access to Bandai at Toy Fair 2017, so seeing them at this small-ish NY event was excellent, and you'd best believe we took full advantage of our unencumbered time in front of their new toys. Let's take a look at everything that was on hand...

Zak Storm: Commissioned by French channel Gulli, Zak Storm is a co-pro between Zag, Method Animation, SamG and Man of Action Entertainment, in partnership with Gulli and PGS Entertainment. Bandai has the master toy license.

Zak Storm tells of the adventures of young teen surfer, Zak – a headstrong and adventurous kid swept into the Bermuda Triangle while surfing. Once inside, Zak partners up with a magical sword that allows him to transform into a swashbuckling, renegade hero to fight off the numerous perils of the unique and diverse Seven Seas within the belly of the Triangle. Young Zak sails the mysterious seas with an extraordinarily otherworldly ship and crew comprised of; an enchanted talking sword, an Atlantean princess first mate, a thick-headed & heavy-fisted Viking, a neurotic space traveler, and a poltergeist prankster kid!

Can Zak manage the many quirky personalities of his ship & crew in order to lead them past uber villain, Skullivar, and escape the Triangle?

Mech-X4: When high school student Ryan Walker discovers he has the ability to control technology with his mind, he awakens 150-foot robot MECH-X4 and is able to control every move the android makes. The situation gets to be too much for Ryan to handle on his own, though, when another monster starts attacking the school. That's when Ryan recruits older brother Mark and friends Harris and Spyder to help operate MECH-X4's defense system while he pilots the robot. Together, the haphazardly assembled team of heroes must quickly learn to work together in order to save the school -- and, ultimately, the world -- from being destroyed. That's a lot of pressure to put on some teenagers.

Mech-X4 premiered on the Disney Channel in November of 2016. Pictured below is the...
MECH-X4 12" TECHNOPATHY ROBOT AND MECH-LINK BAND:

It's time to prepare for battle and "Mech-execute"! Based on the Disney Channel and Disney XD show Mech-X4, the 12" Technopathy Robot and Mech-Link Band Set allows you to contol the robot's movements, just like Ryan with his Technopathy ability. The motion sensor mech-link band allows you to control 5 unique battle actions: "Mech-execute" to power up the robot and prepare for battle, punching and jabbing motion, activate defense shields, detect damage and activate repair mode, as seen in the show. The Robot features multi color light up of Visor and "X" to signify different battle modes, as well as 20+ battle action phrases and sounds. Download the app to unlock additional battle action. Using a smart device, you can battle augmented reality monsters that appear on screen with your Technopathy Mech-X4 offering a whole new way to play!
