POOLWATCH: Deadpool's Father Speaks on New Movie

Robert Liefeld, sometimes known as the "scourge of the comic industry" or "that guy who gave Captain America boobs" had a thing or two to say to FOX today via the magical universe called Twitter...

Dear FOX studios, get your act together. Deadpool is not Green Lantern, not a family film. DP is "filthy" think Expendables $$ w/ RR

Also FOX, find your balls and film the script from Rheese and Wernick. You will make loads of money and thank yourself later.

Dear FOX, these five will show up and slice your nutz if you screw DP up! http://twitpic.com/3c8ym2

FOX is always worrisome to me @JStud_ Not exactly the greatest track record. DP is in their hands.

It boils down to this, Ryan Reynolds, Mr. Sexiest Man alive paired with best comic script ever written, no-brainer....make Deadpool happen!

43 is the new 72 for me....i just speak my mind and don't give a crap....grumpy old Liefeld.

I agree will all of that 100%. With Reynolds on board (if that is still the case, as it was at SDCC this year) this movie will be like printing money. Without having to worry if the damn thing will succeed on opening weekend, they should allow the right people to create a story worthy of this hysterically psychotic character with enough blood shed and ultra violence to make Brock Samson scream ENOUGH ALREADY!! I always thought a Deadpool movie should have the slapstick elements of a Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle) movie, the crackerjack timing of The 5th Element, a body count somewhere between the last Rambo movie and Shoot Em Up and several action and comic book movie parodies/nods thrown in like..suddenly as he's leaping across buildings the movie looks like Sin City and he's talking all gruff like Marv and remarks..I hate this part of town....OH and there needs to be at least one moment where someone is giving a speech and ends it with "AND HOLY GOD I FUCKING HATED VAN WILDER!!" to which Deadpool will peek out from behind said person giving the speech, in his mask and give the iconic one eyebrow up look right at the audience. Make it so!
