Game of Thrones White Walker Statue

Following its “sneak” debut to the industry at this year’s Toy Fair International, Game of Thrones fans have been clamoring for an official release date, and images of HBO® and Dark Horse’s White Walker statue.

Arriving at finer comic shops, bookstores, and specialty retailers on December 18, 2013, the White Walker is a hand-painted, numbered limited edition collectible. Each bust is packaged in full-color collector box, will include a numbered certificate of authenticity. Retail price is $124.99.

White Walkers, or the Others, are a fierce mythological race who are seldom seen as they lurk and prey in their land in the frozen north of Westeros. The Wall was constructed ages ago to keep them isolated.  This evil creature speaks in cracked tones and brandishes a deadly icy weapon, as immortalized in this beautiful collectible piece.

7” tall Orc Commander Azog comes in a numbered, limited edition of 2,600 pieces. Azog is depicted as he appears in the prologue scene from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. In the battle between the dwarves and an army of orcs to reclaim Moria, Azog holds the severed head of the dwarf King Thror up in victory. The figure comes with interchangeable hands – the right hand that holds Thror’s head can be replaced with a hand capable of holding either his dagger or mace, and the left hand can be switched with the prosthetic spikes that replaced the hand he lost to Thorin’s sword.

Robot Chicken DC Comics Special On DVD & Blu-ray July 9th

This July, the Robot Chicken television series heads back to Blu-ray™ and DVD – and this time, the DC Comics universe is at the center of its Emmy® Award-winning stop-motion lampooning. Animation, continues to build its repertoire of dishing out hilarious sketch comedy parodies in the all-new Adult Swim Blu-ray and DVD release, Robot Chicken DC Comics Special. The special, which boasts an all-star cast as well as characters Robot Chicken fans have grown to love, provides a unique take on some of the most iconic superheroes from the DC Comics universe – along with others whose powers can’t really be called “super.” It will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on July 9, 2013 for the suggested retail price of $19.98 and $14.98, respectively.

Grimm is a cop drama inspired by the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tales, following Portland homicide detective Nick Burkhardt into a reality he never knew existed. It's that time again! We are about a month away from the biggest geek event on the planet, so let's start digging through all the killer collectibles you'll find on the show floor at San Diego Comic Con 2013, or if you're lucky (and not attending), on sale online, for a limited time. The New Disney Release Schedule with Marvel, Muppets & More

Today The Walt Disney Studios announced a number of release schedule updates. Here is some additional information regarding these projects.

·         When Walt Disney’s daughters begged him to make a movie of their favorite book, P.L. Travers’ “Mary Poppins,” he made them a promise—one that he didn’t realize would take 20 years to keep. In his quest to obtain the rights, Walt comes up against a curmudgeonly, uncompromising writer who has absolutely no intention of letting her beloved magical nanny get mauled by the Hollywood machine. But, as the books stop selling and money grows short, Travers reluctantly agrees to go to Los Angeles to hear Disney’s plans for the adaptation.

Teen Titans Go! Gets a Season 2

And....wait for it....Young Justice is still cancelled. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???!!! Insert odd faced guy with snot coming out of his face wallowing in anguish. All your childhood are belong to cute.

Cartoon Network announced today it has picked up a second season of Teen Titans Go!, the new half-hour animated comedy series from Warner Bros. Animation.  Since its premiere on the network in April, Teen Titans Go! has been a viewer favorite averaging more than 1.7 million total viewers (P2+) per telecast. In addition, the series is the #1 program (excluding movies) on Tuesday on all TV among kids 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14 and boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. Ratings for the series have outpaced its lead-in and prior four-week benchmarks by double-digits with all key kids and boys, and year-ago time period results among Kids/Boys 9-14.

DC Comics Characters Get Pretty Ugly

Pretty Ugly, LLC. and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, announced today that they have entered into a co-branded collaboration with DC Comics Super Heroes and UGLYDOLL characters. GUND, a division of Enesco, will produce a diverse range of colorful and collectible Super Hero plush based on the DC Comics and UGLYDOLL character universes. The initial release this fall will be a trio that includes two versions of Ice-Bat™ as Batman™ and Babo™ as Superman™.

Agent Coulson Meets Lil Agent Coulson

It never fails. Show an action figure to the person the toy is made after and a look of childlike glee spreads across their face. Well..it did fail once. I was at the press junket for The Amazing Spider-Man and was able to bring Andrew Garfield together with his first ever likeness on an action figure in the Diamond Select Minimates line. He seemed...less than enthusiastic. Never the less, we expected no small amount of ridiculous cheer from Clark Gregg as he held his Hot Toys 12 inch action figure for the first time.
